Today is the 29th anniversary of John Lennon's death. Our favorite Beatle was shot down outside the Dakota apartment building in New York City by Mark David Chapman. In honor of his passing, we've compiled our five favorite John Lennon songs. Spoiler alert: Imagine is not on our list.

So a couple weeks ago, EW released their 50 Best Beatles Songs list. I got very angered reading it because, well, because it was littered with songs that weren't my favorites and omitted tons of songs that were. Now, obviously, a best Beatles Songs list is a VERY personal thing, but still, I found it necessary to respond with my own Top 50.
